It was announced at Freedom 21s conference held in Ft. Mitchell, Ky., that a National Summit of up to 1000 political activist groups and ministries concerned with constitutional violations by Congress of the American peoples fundamental rights is being called to meet in Kansas City, Mo., in late March or early April of 2007. There is also significant influence by major internationalist organizations to subvert the sovereignty of the United States. This historic moment will be seen by a large number of disenfranchised voters as their best opportunity to make a truly meaningful change in this nations political life in the past 100 years. Greg Evensen, a former state law enforcement officer and public school instructor from Michigan, discussed the formation of this new coalition and the appointment of an interim national board of directors. This conference is labeled as the "Heartland USA (United for a Sovereign America) Summit 2007." It will mean that, "literally thousands of responsible leaders from organizations who will attend are alerting concerned Americans about the decline in our nations leadership at all levels. The delegates to this summit agree on one bedrock truth," Evensen stated. "This is a clean sweep effort, an opportunity to take back our heritage as Americans and end the continuing repetitive cycle of corruption and ineffective do-nothing partisan fighting." Evensen went on to add that, "IT IS TIME to return the vital role voting citizens offer to the American nation, and to pledge common sense, moral virtue, financial wisdom, and protection of our national sovereignty. We must begin real and permanent disengagement from internationalist banking, the UNs Agenda 21 and world governance, or we will have no nation left to rebuild." The response from attendees to the Freedom 21 National Conference where Evensen announced this surprise summit, was that this attempt to make a real change in America was not only possible, it was absolutely essential and timely. Since fall elections are well underway, the impact of this new national political group to be, will be a cannon shot over the bow during this voting cycle. However; local, state and federal elections are an on-going part of American life, and this coalitions new position will "appeal to Americans like no other political group precisely because it is aimed at peoples overwhelming frustration at not being able to make a difference." Evensen told the assembled conference members. "We are like a great mirror reflecting our heritage that has been dropped. All we see now are slivers of a reflection. The mirror must be reformed so that we once again see the big picture that is a free America. This coalition will squeeze every shred of truth, common sense and commitment to excellence there is out of every potential candidate that confirms his or her desire to seek office representing hard working Americans with this groups considerable influence." Evensen concluded. The Summit "founders" called for patience while a very streamlined but essential core of advisors, potential national staffers, field representatives and interested community volunteers prepare for the conference in Kansas City. It will be there that delegates suggest, debate, and offer to the American people an alternative platform that will help them trail-blaze into a successful and promising return to a republic as the founders intended. The leaders of this new nation-wide coalition have selected the American Bison as its symbol because it represented a noble model for Americans that stands for strength and independence. The Bison was marginalized and almost eliminated as greedy hunters sought to end its existence in the nation. Organizer Greg Evensen, seemed to sum up the feelings of those who agreed to help set up the spring summit, "This new effort will now represent millions of citizens who, like the great Bison, feel marginalized, and their way of life threatened with extinction by bureaucrats who have long since sold out, or they have lost the true spirit of independence, secured from our nations founding by men and women dedicated to constitutional government." Like all new historic beginnings, this symbolic and exciting effort now will meet its most crucial test. They must move beyond words and plans to a true national summit that launches into reality the heroic face of a coalition representing the heartlands desire for a fresh start in Washington and state capitols across the USA.
